This is a master copy of an artist I found when taking classes at Hetherley School of Art, with the master portrait painter, Allan Ramsay. He had a book by this artist and I managed to find a copy on Ebay.

Alongside painting from life, I was taught to make 'master transcripts' ie copying from master painters to understand their brushwork and expand my own practice. I keep them to learn from them but eventually run out of room. So it forms part of my studio sale.
